pentapack|Pentagram Austin hired DJ Stout to design a range of 50 pieces of packaging for Advanced Nutrients manufactures. The DJ came up with names like Big Bud, Wet Betty, Bud Candy, Kushie Kush, Jungle Juice, Piranha, B-52, Overdrive and Connoisseur. The unique names of the products lead to the idea of developing a personality for each package with a visual language that harkens back to vintage product marketing. The manufacturer has a very loyal audience, who probably don’t give a damn what the products look like as long as they do the trick, which meant freedom for the designers. Design Pentagram Illustration Marc Burckhardt
