|A disastrous, very expensive high-speed railway (with unsafe trains) was initiated in 1999 by former Minister of Infrastructure and Transportation Netelenbos and former Supervisory Board Chairman at Dutch Rail Jan Timmer. During an interrogation this week, the ex-Minister told the jury, she felt quite uncomfortable and intimidated during a meeting, from the moment Mr. Timmer took off his jacket, revealing wide suspenders with skulls. She thought this was a bold statement. Timmers wife just told the press her husband only owns an uncool set of smiley braces 🙂
