Shylights

  • Post category:blog

|When at the Rijksmuseum I had a hard time concentrating on old paintings, instead I loved the Baroque jewellery and Delft Blue ceramics. To my surprise I bumped into this modern piece of art: an organic silk light sculpture that unfolds and retreats in a choreography. Most design objects are static/dead, while everything natural in this world is moving/alive. These lights are alive by moving in an unpredictable and natural way (with a fall distance of 9 meters!). The robots can simply be controlled by an iPhone. Design Studio Drift
