|This week my father’s brother – a portrait painter – died. To my surprise I discovered the Rijksmuseum owns 20 works by him. I never asked him what he thought about the professor at the left, I just guess he was somewhat swollen-headed 🙂 In my opinion his portrait of astronomist Prof. H. van Woerden at the right is one of his best. Art Jan Asselbergs
