|Richter did these ink drawings in the autumn of 2008. He is rarely satisfied with his own initial gestures, and as a rule starts a lengthy process of reworking his paintings, but this is impossible with this fragile work. So he left the stack in a corner until 2013; suddenly he liked the non-manipulated imperfection of the flowing ink and now he shows it to the world. For these small dreamy drawings black Edding ink was thinned with benzene and acetone. In a few works lacquer and pencil lines are added. The series is called November < click
