|In Holland we have a political party called Party for the Animals. Director Marianne Thieme announced that if people eat less meat – exactly 3 meatless days a week  – the climate problems are almost solved, because it has the same effect as when 3 million cars are removed from the Dutch roads. Our future King Willem Alexander supported these thoughts at the UN Global Sustainability Conference in New York. Right there the Party for the Animals gave a preview of their documentary Meat the Truth: CO2-emissions by meatfarms in Western countries like The Netherlands, are higher than the emissions of all cars, trains, boats and planes together.
