|The excellent ‘elles’ exhibition at Pompidou brings together 500 works by more then 200 female artists in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. The expo is all about emotion, often expressed via (embroidered) texts. My favourite is the multimedia installation ‘Heartbeat’ by Nan Goldin (serene music by John Tavener with Björk) where she immortalizes intimacy. Also many works by Louise Bourgeois (98!).
