|‘Everything except the ground is caught in a whiteout’. Interior architecture by Yoshimasa Tatsumi (Beijing). Dancers manage to maintain a sense of balance only by concentrating on the flat surface beneath their feet. Tatsumi used white ceramic paint to make the dotted gradations that appear on three of the four mirrored walls of the studio. Together, these vertical surfaces produce a seemingly endless space. Nothing else was used to craft the delicate yet overwhelming visual effect.
