|For me the best film of the IFFR was the thrilling anti-war movie Lebanon. A platoon of paratroopers are inside a sweaty tank, rusted-out with the odour of fear. The movie is based on director Samuel Maoz’ own traumatizing experience, as a 20 year old novice soldier in the initial days of the first Lebanon War in 1982. An Oscar(?)!
